Product Support Engineer, FeedMilling 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing feed milling systems and equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet industry standards, client requirements, and performance expectations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products
  • Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs
  • Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design work
  • Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
  • Cost Estimation: Assist in developing cost estimates for design projects and provide input on materials, labour, and project timelines.
  • Ensure project timeline is met, and project stays within budget

 

Requirements:

  • Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, Pro-E)
  • Experience with technical drawings, BOMs and engineering documentation
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and welding
  • Team player with cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Familiar with pneumatics, conveyors, gears, motors and sensors
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Passionate about mechanical design
