Project Manager 

 

Responsibility:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end management of Big Dutchman system projects, from contract handover to final commissioning.

  • Manage and develop project execution plans including schedules, cost control, milestones, and resource planning.

  • Coordinate site construction, system installation and commissioning as per Big Dutchman’s design.

  • Track progress and performance metrics, proactively identifying and resolving delays or issues.

Technical Coordination

  • Review and translate customer specifications into technical solutions in coordination with BD Germany/Asia engineering teams.

  • Coordinate with design teams to ensure building structure, poultry equipment system and civil/structural inputs are incorporated correctly in alignment with Big Dutchman system design.

  • Interpret building layouts, construction drawings, and poultry equipment system integration plans for poultry houses.

  • Site visit to inspect the work installation are carried out in line with design intend.

  • Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to address engineering and technical issues and lead the problem-solving efforts for challenges arising during project execution.

Stakeholder & Customer Engagement

  • Act as the key point of contact for customers, internal departments, vendors, and site supervisors throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Provide customers with technical guidance and regular updates to ensure expectations are aligned and managed.

  • Support commercial and sales teams with project input during quotation and handover phases.

Cross-Functional & Site Collaboration

  • Liaise with customers to work on the suppliers and vendors visa application requirements and document checklists for the arriving technicians.

  • Work with the customer to organize domestic travel and ground support for supplier technicians arriving for project execution.

  • Work closely with BD’s Sales, Technical, Procurement, and Logistics teams to align project delivery.

  • Coordinate material shipments, site readiness, and subcontractor works to meet project milestones.

  • Support installation teams and monitor on-site activities to ensure quality and HSE compliance.

  • Project handover execution, ensuring the handover is proper documented.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide regular reports, Gantt Chart to senior management on project status, risks, cost variances, and performance.

  • Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and drive future improvement in processes and execution standards.

Requirement:

  • Degree in Civil, Building, Mechanical or Electrical.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, ideally in agricultural, livestock, or industrial equipment sectors; Familiarity with poultry farm systems (e.g., ventilation, feeding, control systems) is a strong advantage;

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, Gantt Chart;

  • Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills;

  • Strong in Project management planning;

  • Knowledge of building/structural/civil standards and international design codes (Eurocode or equivalent);

  • Willing to live and work on-site, with flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays, and to travel domestically or internationally to farms or project sites based on project requirements and duration.

  • Customer service mindset with good interpersonal communication;

  • Excellent coordination with supply chain, technical, and project teams;

  • Familiarity with poultry farming operations is an advantage.
