Position Overview
This role focuses on fostering a positive workplace environment, enhancing employee skills, and ensuring a safe and compliant workplace. The ideal candidate will balance strategic initiatives with hands-on operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
- Mediate employee concerns and facilitate resolution with employees and managers.
- Investigate workplace complaints, ensuring a fair and compliant process.
- Update and administer company policies, including conducting employee and manager training.
- Promote consistent application of standards related to attendance, performance, and professional conduct.
- Conduct employee engagement surveys and implement action plans to enhance morale.
- Organize team-building initiatives to foster a positive work culture through the Activities Committee.
- Coach and mentor managers in delivering positive and constructive feedback and creating and implementing performance improvement plans.
- Create, track and analyze performance metrics to ensure accountability and progress.
- Ensure compliance and mitigate risks, including global employee visa management.
Training & Development
- Design technical and leadership training programs.
- Develop training initiatives to address skill gaps and improve job performance.
- Conduct workshops on soft skills, compliance, and time management.
- Create or acquire content for Learning Management System based on leader requests and company objectives.
- Partner with leaders and employees to create individual career development plans.
- Measure training impact using feedback and performance metrics.
- Continuously refine training content for effectiveness.
- Manage SuccessFactors Employee Central and My Learning platforms.
Safety and Compliance
- Manage workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and MIOSHA standards.
- Create, lead and implement safety programs, safety talks, safety audits, incident investigations, and workers’ compensation processes and implement corrective actions.
- Lead cross functional safety committee.
- Lead safety training for employees and first responders.
- Investigate workplace incidents, prepare reports, and ensure appropriate follow-up measures.
- Stay updated on changing safety laws and maintain readiness for audits
- Oversee return-to-work and restricted work initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in employee relations, training and development, and safety compliance.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and safety regulations.
- Effective communication and facilitation skills for training and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Experience with HRIS platforms like SuccessFactors is a plus.
