Operations Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Lead and be accountable for multi-site warehouse and logistics operations in Holland, MI, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and logistics functions. Manage a leadership team (Shipping, Receiving, and Logistics Managers) and an extended team of ~40 associates to deliver accurate and on-time order fulfillment. Drive continuous improvement to achieve world-class performance in fulfillment, productivity, inventory accuracy, and cost while partnering cross-functionally (Customer Service, Purchasing, and Finance) to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own end-to-end warehouse performance across sites, ensuring safe, efficient execution of receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
Deliver service performance by achieving defined targets for OTIF / on-time shipment, order accuracy, and order cycle time; lead root-cause problem solving for misses.
Own reporting and performance visibility: maintain dashboards, communicate risks early, and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in support achieving superior performance.
Optimize warehouse layout and capacity to best practices: floor space planning, racking strategy, material flow, and business cases for capital investments.
Develop leaders and teams: hire, coach, train, and hold managers/associates accountable; build a culture of safety, engagement, and continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years experience in warehouse operations and management of teams.
Bachelor degree preferred.
Working knowledge of ERP, order fulfillment systems, and ERP system conversions.
Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities with desire to improve operations.
