Purchaser (490_36)  

BD Araraquara is looking for a Mid-Level Buyer (Direct Materials) with solid experience in direct materials negotiation to support our manufacturing operation, ensuring availability, competitiveness, and supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing for direct materials (production components and materials), from RFQs to delivery.
• Prepare RFQs, compare proposals, and lead commercial negotiations (price, lead time, delivery terms, payment terms, and other conditions).
• Issue and follow up on purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery and handling deviations (delays, quantity/quality discrepancies, urgent demands).
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, supporting supplier qualification, performance evaluation, and development (OTD, quality, responsiveness).
• Drive cost reduction (savings) and TCO improvements through alternative sourcing, standardization, and process improvements.
• Partner with Production, Planning/PCP, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to align technical requirements and timelines.
• Support sourcing initiatives, risk mitigation (dual sourcing/backup suppliers), and continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Buyer/Procurement professional focused on direct materials in an industrial environment.
• Strong background in negotiation and supplier management.
• Knowledge of procurement routines (RFQ, bid comparison, PO issuance/follow-up, cost analysis).
• Intermediate Excel skills (analysis and KPI tracking).
• Availability to work 100% on-site in Araraquara/SP.

Nice to Have

• Experience in metal-mechanic/manufacturing/assembly environments.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Totvs, Oracle, or similar).
• Ability to read and work with technical specifications/drawings (interface with Engineering).
• Intermediate English.
